York Minster, at the centre of the ancient Viking settlement of Jorvik in the heart of Yorkshire, towers above the red roofs of the old town. This is a distinctive characteristic of the city due to sensible management of high-rise development over decades. Indeed, because York Minster is free from competing buildings, it can be seen from many vantage points in the Vale of York - some many miles away - and Lynne is considering a number of these views for future prints.
